Our church  has one annual per year - just before adjournment we vote to approve the secretary minutes  of that meeting  as read - is further action on the minutes of that meeting required at the next annual meeting

Can you clarify how the minutes are being approved before the meeting adjourns?   Have the draft minutes actually been prepared and made available (or read) to the members at that point?

Also, does this annual meeting take place in one day or over multiple days?

we one annual meeting year  about and hour in length - the minute's are then verbal read and approved by a majority  voice vote - at the next years annual meeting the minutes from the previous annual meeting are print and available to the membership two weeks in advance of the meeting - my question is are required to take additional action on the minutes as printed

No. Nothing further is required since the minutes have already been approved.
