Guest Guest Posted July 10, 2020 at 01:05 PM Report Share Posted July 10, 2020 at 01:05 PM Can a member move to postpone to a certain time a motion that is simultaneously undergoing an electronic vote (open for three hours to allow voting) due to the consideration of newly obtained new information that they now want to discuss? Dan Honemann Posted July 10, 2020 at 01:13 PM Report Share Posted July 10, 2020 at 01:13 PM No, unless your rules relating to electronic voting (as authorized by your bylaws) permit it somehow.
Rob Elsman Posted July 10, 2020 at 05:09 PM Report Share Posted July 10, 2020 at 05:09 PM I am unclear what kind of motion is the "motion that is simultaneously undergoing an electronic vote". Were it clearer to me, I might be able to recommend that a member who voted with the winning side move to Reconsider the vote in order to have that further debate that seems desirable.
