matt@merhow.com Posted July 10, 2020 at 08:07 PM Report Share Posted July 10, 2020 at 08:07 PM Our fair By-laws state that a member must be in good standing for 2 years prior to being eligible to run for an executive office... The requirement to be "in good standing" is to attend 50% of the meeting during the fiscal year.... the question is does the year that you meet the meeting requirements count as one of the years? the interpretation currently is that a member must be a voting member for two years to meet the requirement to run for a board seat. any help guidance would be appreciated! If the rules are ambiguous, your group will need to decide for itself what they mean, based on exactly what they say. As far as RONR is concerned, anyone is eligible for office, whether or not a member in good standing.
