Guest Susie Posted July 22, 2020 at 08:55 AM Report Share Posted July 22, 2020 at 08:55 AM Our city has an ordinance that says commercial vehicles are not allowed to be parked in front of stores. A landscape company has violated this For since for the last four years, on and off. Due to no ordinance officer and other circumstances ( no city manager) this was allowed to go on. Now the company wants to expand its business building and Went before the Planning Commission for building approval. These past parking violations were brought up and held up approval for the building approval. After three hours, the Commission agreed to let them park four commercial vehicles in the front of the building! As a resident, I am livid. I feel the Commission had no authority to grant them commercial vehicle parking when the ordinance forbids it. Question: Was there any violation of RONR in what the Commission did? Chris Harrison Posted July 22, 2020 at 11:35 AM Report Share Posted July 22, 2020 at 11:35 AM None that I see. That being said you should look at your City's laws to determine whether the Commission had the authority to do what they did.
