The answer likely depends on your own bylaws. However, per RONR, there is no requirement for the member to step down from the committee or to abstain from votes. Only if the member has been formally charged and his rights have been suspended in accordance with Section 63:13 of RONR would he be prohibited from serving on the committee. Those provisions are very specific, however, and your own disciplinary process may not include such a procedure. Quote
