Guest Hannes Combest Posted February 11, 2021 at 08:23 PM Report Posted February 11, 2021 at 08:23 PM I work for an association and our Board was sent an email with a "motion" from a general member of the organization - not a person on the Board. This was for the Board to consider. The Board discussed the topic but did not take action on the member's "motion." He is now demanding we take action on his motion. Quote

No rule in RONR requires to the board to even discuss it, much less make a motion regarding it. And it's not his motion. There is no motion unless a board member makes one. His demand is procedurally meaningless. Quote
