William Prior Posted February 17, 2021 at 06:17 PM Report Posted February 17, 2021 at 06:17 PM Our executive board consists of six positions. If we have a vote as an executive to act on something or to take something to the general membership, the vote can end in a tie and things can end up going nowhere. How many member positions should be on an executive board and is there a procedure to break a tie vote? Quote

The number will obviously vary greatly between different types of organizations. 16 minutes ago, William Prior said: and is there a procedure to break a tie vote? No. A tie vote defeats a motion so there is nothing to break. Quote
