Tomm Posted August 5, 2021 at 02:00 PM Report Share Posted August 5, 2021 at 02:00 PM Scenario: You are a board member in an executive session for the purpose of being reprimanded. The time comes for a vote on what to do. Question: Is it appropriate to be asked to leave the room while the remaining directors vote or do you, as a member, have a right to stay as well as cast a vote? George Mervosh Posted August 5, 2021 at 02:51 PM Report Share Posted August 5, 2021 at 02:51 PM If the intent is to adopt this motion without going through formal disciplinary procedures in RONR, he has a right to stay and a right to vote on it, even though he should abstain.
