Jay M Posted August 9, 2021 at 08:28 PM Report Share Posted August 9, 2021 at 08:28 PM Our board of trustees of a not for profit religious organization called for a special general body meeting to approve a special project. My question is can any member of general body add or amend the agenda in the meeting? Or because it is a special General body meeting called for a specific item no other items are allowed in the agenda? Thanks

Thanks There is absolutely no need for an agenda when there is only one item of business being considered. As to question 2, the only business that can be transacted at a special meeting is that which has been specified in the call of the meeting. Rob Elsman Posted August 9, 2021 at 09:19 PM Report Share Posted August 9, 2021 at 09:19 PM I suspect Jay M has confused an agenda with a call of a meeting. The call of a meeting is defined in RONR (12th ed.) 1:7. The agenda of a meeting is discussed in RONR (12th ed.) 41:58ff. These are two distinct things.
