Guest Nicole D. Posted September 24, 2021 at 05:38 PM Report Share Posted September 24, 2021 at 05:38 PM Thanks for your reply Hieu. Yes, we are working on amending bylaws. How do we solve until the bylaws are amended? it is a right now issue.
Dan Honemann Posted September 24, 2021 at 05:49 PM Report Share Posted September 24, 2021 at 05:49 PM The principles of interpretation found in RONR, 12th ed., 56:68 may be of some assistance to you.
Joshua Katz Posted September 24, 2021 at 07:17 PM Report Share Posted September 24, 2021 at 07:17 PM Until the bylaws are amended, there are principles, as Mr. Honemann mentions, that may guide you. If you can give us more information on the nature of the conflict, we may be able to point to specific principles (or canons).

Guest Nicole D. Posted September 24, 2021 at 07:36 PM Report Share Posted September 24, 2021 at 07:36 PM Sure thing Joshua. We are preparing for elections. Here is the conflict: Article 3 section 3.8.2 states: the approved slate of nominees must be presented to the general membership in person and via mail at least 30 day prior to election date, to be determined by the Elections Committee. Article 3 section 3.9.3 states: The membership of the organization must be notified in writing, the recording secretary, of nominations at least 30 days to the 3rd Wed of regularly scheduled board meeting the month prior to elections. Any insight, would be greatly appreciated
