Pressure to vote a certain way

We had a member who experienced great pressure to vote a certain way, having been seated next to a high official who was crying and very emotional about the vote. He agreed to vote as the man wished but upon getting home, he felt huge dismay that he had "caved."  He immediately notified the President of his desire to change his vote and she replied that there was no procedure to allow such a change of vote.  Is this true? The President is correct. The window in which a member can change their vote is extremely limited. After the meeting is over, it's far too late. See RONR (12th ed.) 45:8-9.

If the motion was adopted, a member could make a motion to Rescind the motion, which requires a 2/3 vote, a vote of a majority of the entire membership, or a majority vote for adoption. If the motion was defeated, a member could make the motion anew at the next meeting. But it is much too late for an individual member to change their vote on the original motion.
