Guest Valerie B Posted November 10, 2021 at 11:36 PM Report Share Posted November 10, 2021 at 11:36 PM I have attended two meetings that had elections. When there was a tie, or not enough votes, those running the election asked if people wanted to change their votes. Is that allowed? It seems wrong to me for them to ask people to change their votes. Richard Brown Posted November 11, 2021 at 12:37 AM Report Share Posted November 11, 2021 at 12:37 AM (edited) No. Members may change their votes up until the result of the vote is announced , but after the results are announced, members may change their votes only with the unanimous consent of the assembly. 4:42 RONR (12th ed.). In case of a tie or failure to elect, the proper procedure is to vote again. 46:32 (RONR 12th ed.)
