Weldon Merritt Posted January 10, 2022 at 09:38 PM Report Share Posted January 10, 2022 at 09:38 PM On 1/10/2022 at 12:21 PM, Joshua Katz said: I'm not confident in my answer but don't see a way to delete it. Apparently, you did delete. Or at least whatever you said at first. I will venture to say that the provision for allowing collection of dues must be in the bylaws, but I see no reason why the bylaws can't specify that the amounts will be as provided in the standing rules. That is, for example, how NAP dues are set. And with three of the four current RONR officers being active NAP members, I am confident that if that were not valid, they would say so. Richard Brown Posted January 11, 2022 at 07:05 AM Report Share Posted January 11, 2022 at 07:05 AM I concur with Mr. Merritt’s response. It is quite common for the bylaws to say that the amount of the dues and other details such as the time and place of meetings shall be as specified in the standing rules
Guest Karen Posted January 13, 2022 at 03:36 AM Report Share Posted January 13, 2022 at 03:36 AM Is this referenced anywhere in RONR? If so, then where can I find it?

But the bylaws always take precedence over ROINR, so if the bylaws say that the dues shall be as specified in the standing rules, that's all the authority you need.
