Guest jbs Posted January 30, 2022 at 09:48 PM Report Share Posted January 30, 2022 at 09:48 PM If an HOA board approves a budget and posts it for the community to view, but then is shown a massive mistake - can the Board simply take that budget, revise the numbers and just repost the budget without regular approval of this new budget? If the board approves a budget, changing that budget would require a vote of the board. This would be done by means of a motion to Amend Something Previously Adopted. Why? The process for amending the budget would be the same regardless of the nature of the mistake. Granted, some mistakes could be so minor (a misspelled word, the meaning of which is obvious, for example) that amending the budget probably would not be necessary. But whether to correct the error it is a question for the board; we have been asked how to do it.
