Guest Ken Hatcher Posted March 27, 2023 at 01:46 PM Report Share Posted March 27, 2023 at 01:46 PM The next meeting of the assembly is just short of three months away. Is it advisable for the Assembly to authorize the Board to approve the minutes of the just completed meeting of the assembly? Put differently, is there a major downside of waiting for the next meeting of the assembly for the assembly's approval of the minutes? Rob Elsman Posted March 27, 2023 at 01:52 PM Report Share Posted March 27, 2023 at 01:52 PM It is appropriate for the minutes to be read and approved at the next regular meeting held within the quarterly time interval. This would include meetings held every three months, more or less. I cannot imagine an "upside" to having the board approve them, instead. And besides, at this point it would be difficult. Since the assembly apparently did not authorize the board to do this before adjourning at the last meeting that ship has sailed. And they can't authorize it before the next regular meeting without calling a special meeting, at which they might just as well approve the minutes directly. Best to just do it normally.
