Guest Tiana Posted March 27, 2023 at 10:02 PM Report Share Posted March 27, 2023 at 10:02 PM I am one of three members of a Board of Directors. The Bylaws provide that each member serves a three-year term which are staggered. Elections for open positions are held during regular or special meetings - no specific date is set in the Bylaws. One of the former members served his three-year term but due to COVID he was allowed to serve another approximately 9 months until his successor was elected to office. An argument has now arisen as to whether the newly elected member's term began when the former officer should have been replaced or does it begin when he was actually elected. Thank you for your time as it is much appreciated.
