Guest Wally Posted April 28, 2023 at 03:40 PM Report Share Posted April 28, 2023 at 03:40 PM When is the proper time to bring forward a motion to Table a proposal? Should this be done before the proposals motion, or after the motion for the proposal has been made?

Should this be done before the proposals motion, or after the motion for the proposal has been made? There is no such thing as a "motion to Table a proposal". There is such a thing as a motion to Lay on the Table which enables an assembly to lay a pending motion aside temporarily when something else of immediate urgency has arisen or when something else needs to be addressed before consideration of the pending motion is resumed (RONR, 12th ed., 17:1), but I very much doubt that this is what you have in mind. What do you have in mind?
