Guest jake Posted May 1, 2023 at 01:58 AM Report Share Posted May 1, 2023 at 01:58 AM In a Board of Directors election if we use the election method of Floor nominations do we have to open the floor for nominations on the day of the election or can it be a previous meeting that we open the floor for nominations? This is an HOA our bylaws are silent on election rules. It does state in one section on "conduct of meetings and order of business" that they will be held in accordance with the most currant edition of Robert's rules of order which the list included election of board of directors. "Unless the bylaws or a special rule of order provides otherwise, the chair must call for further nominations at the session at which the election is held even if nominations were called for at a previous session."
