Can you strike last months minutes from a meeting when members comments included "hearsay" information?

So... In our last months meeting, members comments included a "hearsay" statement.  After investigation, it was proven that it was false information.  Can we amend the minutes to delete that portion?  Does it require unanimous consent or by majority rule?  Thank You!

On the other hand, if they have been approved, then the motion Amend Something Previously Adopted can be used.

If previous notice of the motion was given, then this just requires a majority vote. If notice has not been given, then the vote required is either a 2/3 vote or a majority of the entire membership of the body that is meeting. Depending on the size and attendance at these meetings, one or the other thresholds is easier to achieve - in any case, just one of them needs to be met.

And for future reference keep in mind that members comments usually do not belong in the minutes, even if they're true and correct.  The minutes are a record of what was done, not what was said.  See: RONR (12th ed.) 48:2 ff. for what the minutes should contain.
