The by-laws state that it is the job of the second VP to conduct nominations. My group was set up by the first VP and presented at the March meeting (where we went ahead and took nominations). Nothing was said at the meeting about there being a problem. T"

H,

There is no violation.

There is no mistake to correct.

It's apples and oranges.

A rule which says, "it is the job of the 2nd VP to conduct nominations" has NOTHING to do with a 1st VP creating a nominating committee.

>>so are we still a committee?<<

Unless the 1st Vice President has the authority to appoint the nominating committee you were never a committee to begin with.

Your Bylaws should state how the nominating committee is appointed"
