No rule in RONR requires that the President sign letters. So your options are wide open as far as RONR is concerned.

Just have any board member sign the letter.

Since the board seems to have adopted at a meeting the specific text of the letter to be sent, I think the president has the duty to authenticate the letter by his signature under the rule of RONR (10th ed.), p. 434, ll. 31, 32."
