Guest K Thompson Posted June 1, 2010 at 03:35 PM Report Share Posted June 1, 2010 at 03:35 PM I am questioning how a unit can open up a vote at a meeting. Not count those votes at the meeting. The president counted them herself. She then emailed member's stating that the vote was to close to call. Then asked for votes by email. Is this ok. Robert B Fish Posted June 1, 2010 at 04:12 PM Report Share Posted June 1, 2010 at 04:12 PM The determination that the vote is "too close to call" doesn't make aqny sense. The actual vote result should be reported.E-mail voting is not allowed unless your bylaws say that it is.-Bob
Rob Elsman Posted June 1, 2010 at 05:53 PM Report Share Posted June 1, 2010 at 05:53 PM I am questioning how a unit can open up a vote at a meeting. Not count those votes at the meeting. Is this ok.No. Almost none of this has anything to do with the voting procedures in RONR (10th ed.), §45, pp. 393ff.
