Bylaws state that anual elections will be held between may 15 and june 15 of each year.This year there were not enough candidates to have an election so they were calcelled and moved two weeks hence by the chair. There was no point of order made when this happened. If no point of order is made on the new date in two weeks for the elections, are the elections valid? Since it was announced at the meeting about the new date I would suppose that notice was given. BUt can you give notice to an improper decision?

What is done is done. What would you do if the elections are not held in two weeks? If the organization set up an adjourned meeting, then they are least in the spirit of the rule.

An election, when pending, may be postponed, subject to the limitations of the motion, Postpone to a Certain Time.

Well, they weren't canceled (since they can't be canceled).

And if you had at least one candidate (nominee) for at least one office, you should have held the elections as scheduled. You'd then have an incomplete election for the unfilled offices, which you would try to fill at the next meeting(s).
