If an item is tabled until the next meeting, do you still place it under new business or old business section on the agenda?

If a motion is Postponed (you can't Table something "until the next meeting) it would be taken up in Unfinished Business (which is the correct terminology)

You are not using the terminology correctly.

• You cannot "table until the next meeting. (See "Postpone to a definite time".)

• There is no such class of business as "old business". (See "Unfinished business and general orders.)

The answer to your question, if you DID postpone the item to the next meeting, then, "Place it under 'general orders'."
