Guest Natalie Posted July 7, 2010 at 09:31 PM Report Share Posted July 7, 2010 at 09:31 PM Please help me - I am a novice at this - our School Board (who follows Roberts Rules of Order) decided to change an agenda item in the 11th hour and they will vote on the changed agenda, but the changed agenda was not voted upon by the members. Does Robert's Rules preclude an organization from changing the agenda without the consent of any of its members? The chairperson decided to change the agenda on her own. thank you... STA Posted July 7, 2010 at 09:49 PM Report Share Posted July 7, 2010 at 09:49 PM If you are speaking of the agenda for a School Board Meeting, then the elected Board "members" are the only ones who can approve an agenda, or vote for anything else. It's their meeting, even if Open Meeting laws or some other rules allow the public to attend.
