If an organization's "Planning Committe" (for a specific affair/function) sets forth a "Nominating Committee" for awards for that event do the members of the Planning Committee" or do the members of the general body of the organization vote to accept/reject the slate of nominees? Email me

The planning committee accepts what it's sub-committee (which you've called a Nominating Committee) recommends.

The planning committee votes on the recommendation of the nominating committee, and the general assembly then votes on the recommendation of the planning committee. At both stages, the motion may be amended - it is not necessary to accept or reject the entire "slate."
