Josh Martin Posted July 14, 2010 at 11:05 PM Report Share Posted July 14, 2010 at 11:05 PM Does a committee (one sub group of the Board of Trustees) need to have a quorum just to hold a committee meeting? The committee can hold a meeting without a quorum, but an inquorate meeting can't take any action other than a few procedural motions. (RONR, 10th ed., pg. 334, lines 2-5; pg. 336, line 25 - pg. 337, line 1) Unless your rules or the motion which formed the committee state otherwise, the quorum for a committee is a majority of the committee members.
