Becasue of personaities, and friendships involved some would like to have the vote done by written ballot. as per page 398 line 23.At what point does one make a motion to have a written ballot. Can it be done during discussion after the motion to remove the rule has been made?Thank you,Ruth
Rob Elsman Posted July 15, 2010 at 10:12 PM Report Share Posted July 15, 2010 at 10:12 PM A Motion Relating to Methods of Voting can be made while the question to be voted on is immediately pending, up until the voting has actually begun. See RONR (10th ed.), p. 273, ll. 25-35, for all the details. Some time during debate, just obtain the floor and move that the vote on the immediately pending question be taken by ballot.
