Guest Joy McGough Posted July 16, 2010 at 08:19 PM Report Share Posted July 16, 2010 at 08:19 PM Board member "A" made a motion two weeks ago to accept an employee's resignation. The board approved the motion. Now, the employee wants to withdraw her resignation and be re-hired. Board member "A" wants to approve accepting the withdrawl of resignation and re-hire her. Does board member "A" have to withdraw his previous motion, or just make a new motion at the next meeting to re-hire her? Thank you!

Once accepted, the resignation can't be withdrawn.Re-hiring might be an option. All this assumes that the board has the authority to (a) accept the resignation and ( hire.
