Guest Mark Posted July 27, 2010 at 08:01 PM Report Share Posted July 27, 2010 at 08:01 PM At our Corporations annual business meeting a treasure was elected by the membership in accordance with the by laws. A few weeks after the meeting the Board of Directors fired the treasure elected by the members and appointed someone else to be the treasure. What can be said to the Board of Directors about their improper actions to let them know they don't have the power to act as they did?

What can be said to the Board of Directors about their improper actions to let them know they don't have the power to act as they did?One possibility, or two:• The treasurer was an embezzler. The board didn't want their bank account bled dry.• The treasurer was arrested for a crime. The board didn't want a person with a criminal mind set to be the watchdog over the organization's assets.Maybe getting rid of the treasurer was the wisest action the board could have done.Q. Why did the board see fit to oust the treasurer?

Guest Mark Posted July 28, 2010 at 03:24 PM Report Share Posted July 28, 2010 at 03:24 PM A. One of the Board members, our President, does not like the Treasure elected by the members. No other reason. The other Board members are just appeasing the President.

If the board does not, then the firing is invalid, and follow J. J's sagely advice.
