cwoodridge77 Posted August 13, 2010 at 04:47 PM Report Share Posted August 13, 2010 at 04:47 PM My organization voted to have an event in August. There are some people who feel the date needs to be pushed back to provide for proper planning time. Can that event date be changed or does another vote need to take place? Robert B Fish Posted August 13, 2010 at 04:50 PM Report Share Posted August 13, 2010 at 04:50 PM If the motion passed was something like "that we hold a picnic on August 29" and you now learn that, for any of a number of reasons, it's a good idea to change the date, you may do so at the next meeting. The motion to amend something previously adopted requires a 2/3 vote without notice, majority vote with notice, or a majority of the entire membership.-Bob
