Dan Honemann Posted September 21, 2010 at 10:58 AM Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 at 10:58 AM Difference between "Executive Board of Directors" and "Board of Directors"What is the difference, if any? There may or may not be any difference other than the one additional word. An organization may call its executive board whatever name it wishes, or it may have two different boards which it calls by different names. hmtcastle Posted September 21, 2010 at 12:42 PM Report Share Posted September 21, 2010 at 12:42 PM Difference between "Executive Board of Directors" and "Board of Directors"What is the difference, if any? Some larger organizations may have both a board of directors (or board of trustees, etc.) and a smaller executive committee (which RONR describes as a "board within a board"). As Mr. Honemann suggested, what your board is called is determined by your bylaws.
