Josh Martin Posted September 24, 2010 at 08:27 AM Report Share Posted September 24, 2010 at 08:27 AM Are all Board meetings automatically in executive session? Can a Board be declared in Executive Session by the chair, or does there have to be a vote? Many boards meet exclusively in executive session, by either rule or custom, but this is not always the case. The chair does not have the authority to unilaterally bring the board into executive session. The board may do so, either by unanimous consent or majority vote.
