slate includes ineligible candidates

The Board appointed nominating committee selected 2 candidates who are in violation of the club's policies. The candidates either signed a required statement saying they were in compliance (when they were not) or they didn't sign it and the nominating committee selected them anyway. Voting by mail is underway. What are our options? Invalidate the election and start with new nominating committee? Take the top eligible vote getters? something else?

Raise a point of order if an ineligible candidate is elected. If your point of order is sustained, you'll have to vote again (but won't necessarily need a nominating committee).

Can new candidates be included on mail ballot? 5 open seats. 2 of 5 on slate are ineligible, 2 of 3 write ins are ineligible= 4 candidates for 5 seats

Nothing can interrupt a vote in progress. You'll have to deal with the problem (assuming there is a problem) when the ballots are tallied up.
