Guest Robin Posted October 18, 2010 at 05:19 PM Report Share Posted October 18, 2010 at 05:19 PM A board member will be submitting her resignation at our next scheduled meeting. Our organization meets quarterly, so is it acceptable to accept the resignation at the November meeting, make nominations for replacement and vote in the same meeting or does the voting have to take place at the next quarterly meeting? If an election is required, previous notice is also required.

If the appointing power is an assembly, the officer is free to withdraw the resignation at anytime before it is placed before that assembly.
