Do we call a special election for both positions? The bylaws are silent on this other than saying that the VP shall assume the presidency.
Tim Wynn Posted October 20, 2010 at 06:54 PM Report Share Posted October 20, 2010 at 06:54 PM We have a situation where the president announced that he is resigningThe appointing authority will have to accept the resignation for him to be relieved of the duty. and the vice president refuses to assume the presidency. That's not his choice. It's an automatic thing. He's already accepted that role. He'll just have to resign, and if the president's resignation is accepted first, you'll have two presidents resigning on the same day. Do we call a special election for both positions? The bylaws are silent on this other than saying that the VP shall assume the presidency. You'll need notice.
