Larry Cisar Posted November 5, 2010 at 08:25 AM Report Share Posted November 5, 2010 at 08:25 AM What happens if the chairperson refuses to call for a vote? Can anyone else call for a vote?I would first try a point of order and then an appeal when the chair rules against you. The appeal may wake up the chair. Can anyone else call for a vote? What do you mean?Q. Has the PREVIOUS QUESTION been moved (and seconded)?Q. Is there a justifiable reason WHY the chair is not going straight to a vote? (e.g., is previous notice a requirement here? Is the motion out of order? Is there no quorum? Does the motion violate a bylaw?)
