Guest Walter Posted November 7, 2010 at 05:46 PM Report Share Posted November 7, 2010 at 05:46 PM We are having the election of our board. All position except one have only 1 nominee. Should the ballot only have the one spot on it or the whole slate? There is nothing in the bylaws about specifics of elections. It does say meetings will be according to RR of order. Thanks in Advance

The chair must call for further nominations first, though, if these lone nominees were nominated by a nominating committee. See RONR(10th ed.), p. 428, l. 32-35, and p. 421, l. 6-10. hmtcastle Posted November 7, 2010 at 06:03 PM Report Share Posted November 7, 2010 at 06:03 PM Should the ballot only have the one spot on it or the whole slate? The ballot, if one is used, should have spaces (i.e. lines) to write in a name for each (i.e. all) of the available positions.
