President Resignation

At a board meeting our president resigned; however, no motion was made to accept the resignation. She then indicated that she would send a letter of resignation. It's been two weeks and nothing has been received and no communication from her has been forthcoming. What does the Board do now???

Nothing. Unless there are rules to the contrary she is President until the resignation is accepted by whichever body that the bylaws grant that authority to (which might not be the Board). Until the resignation is accepted it can be withdrawn unilaterally (before the Chair states the question on accepting the resignation) or with the assembly's consent by majority vote (after the question has been stated but before it has been voted on). See RONR pp. 277-280 and pp. 283-286 for more details.
