Or does it really matter?As soon as the nominating committee makes its final report, it goes out of business and has no further part to play in the conduct of the election. See RONR (10th ed.), p. 421. The regular presiding officer presides over the election, even if he is standing for office. RONR (10th ed.), p. 436.
