I'm looking for correct language to use in a meeting (by the president) to elect three members for a nominating committee. Any help would be great.

Here's some sample language which ought to do the trick.

"I move that a nominating committee be created, comprised of 3 members."

Ideally, you should actually name the three people in the motion. But you didn't mention that you had anyone in mind.

Move to amend by striking the word comprised and inserting composed.

"I move that a nominating committee be created, comprised of 3 members."

I do not think that is the language that should be used by the President, unless perhaps this is a small board.
