Language for elections

I'm looking for correct language to use in a meeting (by the president) to elect three members for a nominating committee.

Here's some sample language which ought to do the trick.

"I move that a nominating committee be created, comprised of 3 members."

Ideally, you should actually name the three people in the motion. But you didn't mention that you had anyone in mind.

See RONR, 10th ed., Section 46: Nominations and Elections.

"I move that a nominating committee be created, comprised of 3 members."

I do not think that is the language that should be used by the President, unless perhaps this is a small board.
