I am currently the President, am I allowed to vote in the election of officers for the new term?It depends on the nature of the "board", what the bylaws say and how the offices/officers are defined in the bylaws. One typical scenario is that the members of the organization elect "directors" to staggered multiyear terms, and then the board (all directors) elect the officers from the directors for a 1 year term. So, the officers are still the officers when the election of officers, but all current directors vote. As soon as the election is complete, the new officers take over as the officers.
