Motion made & board is ignoring it

Our condo board voted to give us proxies in order for us to vote on the budget for 2011.

Now they have placed a notice up which is vague and no proxies were sent out. It appears they will not be honoring their vote or our petition.

So what is your question about Robert's Rules of Order? One observation is that proxy voting is not permitted unless the bylaws specifically provide for it or applicable law requires it (RONR p. 414).

Well, if the rules of RONR are controlling, the board made a mistake and is now correcting it. :)

Unless your board has the authority to amend your bylaws (unlikely, unwise, but possible), it doesn't have the authority to authorize voting by proxy (and it would have to amend the bylaws before it did).

Error was caught after election was done, in fact there were (2) write ins for a position and only one was acknowledged during voting, tellers missed the second name, what do we do now?

Would that other vote have affected who was elected? If not, don't worry about it and just try to do it correctly next time. If the vote would have affected the results then if you still have the ballots secured the assembly can order a recount (and if the ballots weren't retained or they weren't secured it would be too late to do anything about it now-just try to do it correctly next time).
