Guest GrandmaGeek Posted December 7, 2010 at 05:33 AM Report Share Posted December 7, 2010 at 05:33 AM Our condo board voted to give us proxies in order for us to vote on the budget for 2011.Now they have placed a notice up which is vague and no proxies were sent out. It appears they will not be honoring their vote or our petition.

One observation is that proxy voting is not permitted unless the bylaws specifically provide for it or applicable law requires it (RONR p. 414). If not, don't worry about it and just try to do it correctly next time. If the vote would have affected the results then if you still have the ballots secured the assembly can order a recount (and if the ballots weren't retained or they weren't secured it would be too late to do anything about it now-just try to do it correctly next time).
