hmtcastle Posted December 10, 2010 at 02:40 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2010 at 02:40 PM Can the past president appoint the new president if we no longer have a board of directors?Only if your bylaws give your (immediate?) past president that authority. How do you usually select your president? What do your bylaws say? What happened to your board?
Josh Martin Posted December 10, 2010 at 06:28 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2010 at 06:28 PM Can the past president appoint the new president if we no longer have a board of directors?Probably not. I think the more likely solution is to elect a new Board of Directors, although like Mr. Mountcastle, I'm curious about what happened to the last one. Tim Wynn Posted December 10, 2010 at 10:07 PM Report Share Posted December 10, 2010 at 10:07 PM Can the past president appoint the new president if we no longer have a board of directors?I'd say that makes as little sense as the past board of directors doing it.
