Our bylaws state that the President shall appoint a Chair of the Nomination Committee; The Chair of the Nomination Committee shall then select committee members; it later becomes evident that the appointed Chair of the Nomination Committee and several members have violated a number of the organizations by-laws regarding conduct as both a member of the Nomination Committee and/or as a member of the organization; President wishes to re-call/re-appoint Committee Chair; Since the Presient of the organization is authorized to appoint the Chair of the Committee does it follow that the President can re-call his appointment? Thank you for your assistance! Bill Nantucket

Yes, generally speaking, and subject to the provisions of your bylaws, the power to appoint carries with it the power of removal. (See RONR, 10th ed., pages 169-70, 479-80, 642).
