Once the Nominating committee hands out the list of officers that will be on the Slate for election, can someone add their name or do they need to be nominated from the floor at the meeting in which the election will be held?

Even though the sign up list was re posted on the board after the slate was handed out.

Your "slate" - not a word found in RONR - is in effect, the committee's nominations for the various offices up for election.

At the meeting, the committee will report, thus making it's nominations.

You can't add to their list - it's the committee's recommendations, after all - but at the meeting after the committee is done, you can make floor nominations of other candidates possibly more to your liking.

You add your name (to the ballot, not the "slate") by nominating yourself (though, from a political standpoint, you might be better off if you could find another member to nominate you).

The selections of the nominating committee are just the first step in the electoral process, not the last word.
