Suspension of Regular Meeting Schedule

Our organization after many years of successful activities and growing membership finds that our membership and member participation is dwindling. Those of us who are left are weary from the work it takes to carry on the operation of the club. The board is meeting to consider options - one being to suspend our regularly scheduled monthly meetings for a time until we can decide whether to make new attempts at building membership or to dissolve the organization. Our ByLaws specify monthly membership and board meetings. Are there rules or a process for taking this action?

You might want to take a look at your quorum requirement before you find yourselves in the not uncommon predicament of having too few members to achieve a quorum and, therefore, no way to reduce the quorum requirement (or make any other changes to your bylaws).
