President asking Board Members to Reconsider Vote

We previously had a member of our association violate some of our bylaws and standing rules and when we was confronted about it, she wrote a letter to our state association complaining about the communication regarding her actions. She did not renew her membership and has just reapplied for membership in our Association. After much discussion, the Board voted to deny her application. That Board meeting has already been held and a vote was taken. Now the president is asking each board member to reconsider their vote because of the animosity, her litigious state of mind and the negative impact it would have on our association. Can the president do that?

It is too late to Reconsider the application for membership. However, the member is free to re-apply (subject to any rules governing applying for membership).
