boardof trustees making motions at general meeting

The president of our association says that by RONR that members of the board cannot make motions at monthly general meetings and i think he is incorrect. Can anyone tell me if I am correct and were it can be found.

Any general member can fully participate at meetings of the general membership, regardless of the fact that they may also be a member of the board. Board members don't enjoy any extra privileges at general meetings but neither are they penalized.

Ask your president to show you rule that supports his statement. He won't be able to.

That's nonsense. If they're members of the assembly, they can make motions, debate, and vote. Hand him The Book and say, "Show me."
