Hello, Need some assistance with tabling motions. Once a motion is made and seconded, can another member of the assembly make a motion to table the initial motion? When can the presiding officer table such a motion? I thank you in advance for your insights.

At our recent meeting, a motion was made, seconded and passed. Now many members are scratching their heads saying, why did we do this? Is there a procedure to repeal a motion? This is not covered in our constitution nor standing by-laws. If so, could a reference be made? I thank you in advance.
